LET TODAY’S MESSAGE EXCERPT FILL YOUR HEART. IT IS A CONTINUATION FROM THE LAST POST TITLED, “LIVING A LIFE OF INTEGRITY” WITH THE SITE FACILITATOR (JOSHUA-INTEGRITY).

Integrity, that is what I see us face day after day. Integrity, that is what I see us don’t keep day after day. There is no doubt that keeping our integrity in this corrupt and sometimes difficult world is a big challenge, God is however demanding from us to keep our integrity under any circumstances. Speaking edifying words, being whole and not divided, being honest, having strong moral principles, that is keeping integrity.

Do we still keep our integrity in life’s challenges (poverty, unemployment, stress, disappointment, seduction, examinations and others)? Under duress or in difficulty (persecution, failure, financial problems, armed robbery attack, etc)?

The Apostle Paul declared openly in 2^nd Timothy 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. How many of us can openly declare that we have been keeping our integrity even in different circumstances of life that we have been facing? It is difficult to say yes. How disappointed God feels when we don’t keep our integrity because of a little test of faith or our present difficult state. The crown of glory that he had planned to give to you could end up being delayed or denied as a result of your desperation to succeed or achieve certain things he did not approve of.

Joseph kept his integrity in the face of seduction by Potiphar’s wife, he received the crown of glory from God after his victory over seduction (Scripture reference Genesis 39:3-7; Genesis 41:8; Genesis 41:38-45). If he had fallen to the seduction, he sure would have remained a prisoner or even sentenced to death. Glory to God! That is the joy of keeping integrity.

As a Christian, we converse with unbelievers, we are even sometimes persecuted for speaking the truth to them. Do we still keep our integrity? Do we maintain the confession of Jesus as Lord even in the face of outstanding oppositions? Let us learn from Apostle Paul.The crown of glory is available for those who keep the faith.

In financial crisis, do we still keep our integrity? Out of desperation, we do anything to make money and end up offending God. Some of us have become mercenaries and impersonators for examination malpractices due to unemployment or financial problems. Even in the examination hall, we turn left and right, we take in materials to ensure we write down something to succeed. It hurts God! God feels unhappy when we become too desperate to make money and succeed the wrong way.

God sometimes allows us to face unpleasant situations to test our faith. How do we respond? Condemn God? That should not be your response. Your failure today could be a test and what could propel you to a greater height. When one door closes, pray that seven door should open for you. Don’t backslide or offend God because of that setback. It hurts God.

You know what? There is still a second chance. My God is a merciful father, ever ready to forgive on one condition – if we confess our sins and are ready to forsake them. Let us pray this prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins this day (you can voice your sins to him only), forgive me Lord I pray. Help me to keep my integrity Lord and give me the grace to overcome life’s challenges, in Jesus name, Amen.

For almost a month now, we have been advertising the International Crusade and Convention with  Mama Archbishop Margaret  E. Benson Idahosa and a host of Bishops/Ministers of Church of God Mission International. So many guest preachers across the globe were invited and they all came to the glory of God. The crusade was absolutely a reality with unbelievable miracles and healings. Diseases healed, the mentally deranged restored and many other miracles took place to the glory of God. 2^nd and 3^rd November can not be quickly forgotten it was great. 4^th to 7^th was the convention date with so many life changing teachings on “The Joy of Harvest”. The convention was a huge success. Next year’s theme was unveiled by mama Archbishop Margaret E. Benson Idahosa, it is tagged “GLOBAL INCREASE 2011” . Glory to God!

                       THE SPOKEN WORDS FOR TODAY

Pastor Anita Oyakhilome (wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, PhD, President of Believers Loveworld): These are two of my numerous inspirations to kingdom enhancement. Pastor Anita once said, “every time you get involved in the furtherance of the gospel using your finances, time or position of influence in the society, you are favouring God’s righteous cause”. She continues, “commit yourself today to favouring God’s righteous cause, and the power of God will function exceedingly on your behalf”. Hallelujah!

Archbishop B.A.Idahosa of blessed memory once said in very few words, “you are rich today to reach others”. The founder of Joseph Store House for Benevolence alongside Archbishop Earl Puck of Blessed Memory. Be inspired today into giving to others and for the xpansion of the gospel of the kingdom. Glory to God!

Archbishop Kirby Clements of the US said in the just concluded Convention of Church of God Mission International, “we must learn to hear from God and respond to God”. “Hear from God that the door to failure is closed”, “God elevates with revelation”. Hallelujah!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY WITH J-I CONTINUES FROM LAST POST, IT IS TITLED “LIVING A LIFE OF INTEGRITY”.

The words of God has long been preserved for our walk in this life. We must obey God’s instructions to the fullest – it is then that our life will have a meaning. Let us adjust our actions to ensure integrity is our watchword day after day. In my last post, several situations and conditions that could test our integrity were listed, with divine inspiration from God, I would like to make subheadings out of that list.

ü      DO WE STILL KEEP OUR INTEGRITY IN AFFLUENCE (WEALTH) OR PLEASURE OF LIFE?

Are you wealthy today? You have all it takes to command others and God has so blessed you that you can not lack anything. Thank God for your life. This greatness of your was given to you to honour God and bless humanity. You are not struggling to survive because you lack nothing. However, that placement should be used with utmost integrity because God is capable of humbling whoever exalts himself and exalt whoever humbles himself before him. Your wealth today should be used to honour and worship God, immorality should be far from you, oppression of the less privilege should not be your character.

With reference to the last statement above, King Solomon who was a man of wisdom and wealth (1^st Kings 3:6-14), at a time in his life decided not to keep his integrity, he deviated from the way of God (1^st Kings 11:4-11). He allowed his numerous wives to turn him away from God and to serve man-made gods. You know what? He suffered the repercussion of  not keeping his integrity, Read 1^st Kings 11: 40-43. Pride goes before a great fall and that was the experience of King Solomon.

So many wealthy Christians today who sit in pews in church, are so full of themselves, some do not even close their eyes during prayer, pride has become their life style, oppression has become their delight, some don’t even keep to God’s commandment of not serving idols. God is saying keep your integrity – in wealth or in pleasure of life. Do not deviate from the faith if you were once not so wealthy. Keep the faith and God will reward you. Be a helper to the poor – my late Archbishop will say “you are rich so that you can reach others”. Oppression should therefore be far from you.

Confession: Lord Jesus, let my life be for your glory and not my glory. Let my wealth make me to keep my integrity. I am a helper and not an oppressor. I refuse to be blinded by my wealth. I will always worship you even in pleasure of life. Help me to know you more. In Jesus name. Amen.

J-I comments on today’s post, “well it has been a wonderful time with my mentors of the gospel, I just can not imagine a world without people like them in existence, dead or alive”. I am glad to have been associated and to be associated with these great people. Let me give you key statements of three of these numerous mentors of mine. Remember I am not a Pastor but a kingdom enhancer as mandated by Jesus in the bible to every living being, that is soul wining. It can never end. The mission of soul winning continues.

Bishop David Oyedepo (Bishop of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel), I call him my mentor of tithing and giving, I love him so much. He said, “salvation is the only thing that gives you value, if you despise it, your value is lost”. Listen to the voice of God.

Ladonna Osborn (Papa TL Osborn’s daughter), from the USA. She said, “there are six points to expecting what you believe – I must be dissatisfied with bondage, determine that Jesus is my source, be ready for change, know what I want, be ready to receive by faith and all my expectations are fulfilled when I follow Christ.

Rev. Dickson Ogbahon (Resident Pastor, Church of God Mission, Global Headquarters, Nigeria), he said, “you can be in God’s will and not in God’s way, don’t deviate from the way of God”. “Don’t defeat yourself before the devil comes in because sin is elf defeating”. “Without righteousness, no man can see God”.

AND THE MESSAGE OF THE DAY CONTINUES FROM THE PREVIOUS POST. IT IS TITLED “LIVING A LIFE OF INTEGRITY” WITH J-I.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Believers Love World(Christ Embassy) loves this song so much which I learnt from him and reads, “I have a wonderful treasure, the gift of God with a pleasure, we shall travel together, my Bible and I”.

In my last post, I told you that this message was going to be in a series. It is therefore very advisable for you to go to my previous post before starting with this as God leads us in this topic, “Living a Life of Integrity”. The dictionary meaning of the word “Integrity” as explained is “having strong moral principles; to be whole and not divided; honesty. These are great virtues. Glory to God!

By divine inspiration, let me define the word integrity as a state of maintaining the faith in the face of negative outstanding opposition or very pleasant conditions. It is a state of holding on to the right thing in the midst of many wrongs. Integrity is a state of maintaining the right confession while under duress or coercion, and while in charge or control of anything. Jesus still remains the icon of integrity, because despite all the travails he suffered on his way to calvary, he still kept his integrity.

Brethren, deep down in my spirit, God is laying it in me to ask everyone of us including me, the questions below; Do we still keep our integrity

·        In affluence (wealth) and pleasures of life?

·        In life’s challenges (poverty, unemployment, stress, disappointment, examinations and others)?

·        Under duress or in difficulty (persecution, failure, financial problems, armed robbery attack)?

·        In sickness and in health?

·        In trying and terrifying times?

·        In your business or place of work?

·        As a person in control of others (minister of the gospel, president of a country or any setting, governor, political leader or personality and the likes)?

Are there still honest people in the world today? May God help us through this series as we start taking these questions one after the other. By the grace of God, this series will take two more post and by then, we must have discovered where we are not doing very well in our lives.

Let me conclude this post today with the scripture from Psalm 15:1-5 (From Red letter edition of jetmove  King James Version): “Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness and speaketh the truth in his heart. Hallelujah. Baba believes that you don’t need to shout to heaven to receive from god.  Key in to this statement now as baba said “ i decree that you are blessed this day” in Jesus name. Amen. Believe and you shall receive.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome(PhD), President of Believers Loveworld aka Christ Embassy Worldwide: I call him “My Pastor”. Another great mentor of mine said “ always be swift to act on God’s instructions”. “Never be hesitant or slothful to act on God’s instructions. Have a high propensity and love for doing the word, for that is how to honour the Lord in your life-acting swiftly on his instructions”. Hallelujah.

Archbishop Margaret Idahosa ( Archbishop of Church of God Mission, International): I call her “mama”. She said “now is the time, this is the place and we are the people to change the world for good. Just believe you can. If you believe it, then you will become it. Hallelujah. God bless you.

AND TODAY’S MESSAGE EXCERPT WITH J-I THE SITE FACILITATOR,  AN EXHORTATION  AT NIGERIA CHRISTIAN CORPERS FELLOWSHIP, EMURE, EKITI STATE, NIGERIA, NOVEMBER 2008., TITLED “LIVING A LIFE OF INTEGRITY”.

You may have wondered what J-I stands for, but I would rather tell you the meaning of the alphabet “I” there. It stands for “Integrity”, God has always given me this word in one way or the other to spread to everyone around me, that is why I nicknamed myself as “Integrity”. In my 100 level first degree programme in University of Benin, Nigeria, where I studied Biochemistry, I was told by God through a friend of mine to learn to keep my “integrity” on a very mysterious circumstance. I knew it was God speaking through him. More recently, when I was fulfilling my mandatory National Youth Service corps (NYSC), here in Nigeria in 2008, yet again, in an unexpected circumstance, I was mandated to give an exhoratation titled “Living a life of integrity” as a member and not an official at the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship(NCCF),  in 2008. I knew it was God speaking to me yet again in a different way through our leader, Brother Christian Iroagba ( I call him Sir Christian, “papa”).  

The dictionary meaning of the word “integrity” according to the oxford, Webster or thesaurus, is “ the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles”, the condition of being whole and not divided”, the condition of being morally upright”. The big question now is: Do we still keep our integrity in this world today? A world full of corruption, frustration, disappointment, unemployment, economic meltdown, disaster; a world were even the government of the day can not be totally relied on. Do we still keep our integrity? God is pressing it deep in my spirit that me and my fellow youths worldwide; are we still in the faith today? Even the church is not left out; are many churchleaders still sincere today?

This is just an introduction into this message excerpt and it is going to be a series. Let me conclude today by telling us the mind of God about the word “integrity” according to Proverbs 11:3: The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perseverance of  transgressors shall destroy them. May God help me and you this day. I will continue from here in few days.

PRAYER: Jesus I plead that you seal these words into our spirit this day. Don’t allow our canal mind to be inhibitory to your word. Purify and sanctify our spirit this day. In Jesus name. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in a broadcast I listened to and from one of his books sometime ago, explained the essence of salvation. Read on!

Romans 1:16 says “ for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Salvation is translated from three Hebrew words in the Old Testament “yasha”, yeshuwah” and “teshuwah” and they all connote victory, deliverance, prosperity, help, health, peace, safety and preservation.

The same meaning is conveyed by the Greek rendering of the word in the New Testament which is “soteria.” It is an all-encompassing word that describes the totality of the glorious benefits that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ made accruable to the believer: Divine health, peace, prosperity, success, preservation and everything that is consistent with the glory-life. It refers to the good life in Christ! Hallelujah!

Romans 1:16 can therefore be refrained “The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to catapult you into prosperity, deliverance, preservation, success, safety, peace and divine health. Glory to God!

Have you accepted Jesus into your life? You need to experience this new life of “soteria”. Jesus is calling you now to this life. Just say this prayer to yourself: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins today. Break every addiction contrary to your will in my life from me today. MESSAGE 2: 3 KEY THINGS THAT MAKE GREAT MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD THAT YOU NEED (A MESSAGE EXCERPT OF REV. FESTUS AKHIMIEN OF CGMI).

When you talk about the exploits that God used the great man Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory and so many great men and women of God of old and the present time, then you will know that there are great traits these people carry.

• They see the way God sees. God sees through his word. Read Isaiah 40:8 and 2^nd Timothy 2:15.

• They talk the way God talks. God talks through his word. God speaks beyond the ordinary.

• They hear the way God hears. God hears through his word. The Holy Spirit is the censor in our ear that can make them hear the way God hears. The censor is a filter of information (it blots out negative information)

It is the fear of the unknown that make people not to see, talk or hear the way God does.

The spirit of fear leads to bondahe while the spirit of boldness leads to freedom. Bondage is activity without receiving. Fear is faith in reverse gear. Fear is a monster that delivers men to bondage. Bondage takes you to captivity. Read Isaiah 41:11-13 and Romans 8:14&15.

        SITE FACILITATOR’S VIEW ON THIS MESSAGE

I was live in church when this message was preached two Sunday’s ago. It opened my eyes clearer to see God’s ability in my inability. Rev said that God created the world by his words loaded with his power. Genesis 2:7 says “ he formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils (a blast from God’s nostrils). That was the breath of life – and man became a living soul, and that is the power of God in action. That is the same spirit available for us today. Hebrews 13:8 tells us more that “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Glory to God. Let’s go now for more with Rev. Dickson Ogbahon.

• The extension of God into us is the breath of life, and that is the power of God at work
• Romans 8:11 says “if  the Spirit of him(God) that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your  mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you”. Glory to God!

Rev. Dickson elaborated by giving so many events in the bible that took place by “The Power of God”

• Lazarus was raised from the dead after 4 days of embalmment and decay. Jesus declared to him, “Lazarus come forth”
• In Ezekiel 47:9, God’s power brought about healing, life and multiplication.
• In Acts 12:5-7, Peter’s chain was broken when in prison, by the appearance of an angel with a strange light. That light is the power of God at work. We work in the supernatural when the power of God is at work.
• Luke 1:35 says, “the holy spirit came upon Virgin Mary, overshadowed her and she conceived Jesus. Hallelujah!
• Acts 9:3-7, Saul encountered God’s power on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians; and that was the end of his tyranny. He became a great Apostle of the faith.
• John 15:26 says, the spirit extends (proceeds) from God. In Numbers 11:31, a word proceeded from God in the formof a wind. Hallelujah.

 Allow God to handle that situation of yours. Seek his face and his power will definitely be made available to you. Keep declaring God’s word, keep depositing God’s word into that condition, be rest assured that the spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will quicken your mortal body as well.

When you carry the might of God, you will become mighty. God’s spirit has been in existence, and that is his word and his poweras of old and still available to you even now (1^st John1:1).Hallelujah!
