This is a great message of divine inspiration from one of the site facilitator’s mentor of the gospel, a teacher, a preacher and writer – Rick Warren. This message is the basis of our existence in this world where we roam about from one end to another. You need to read every detail of this post and be renewed in your mindset. Life is not all about academic achievements or monetary possessions. There is something more to life than these, and that is your purpose on earth. Read on now and be transformed for good. The day I read this message in his book (July, 2008), I believe my mindset about life changed for good. Glory to God! J-I (+2348036986103).

              “IT ALL STARTS WITH GOD”, BY RICK WARREN 

If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose(Job 12:10).

Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life’s purpose. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning , our purpose, our significance and our destiny. Every other part leads to a dead end (no progress). Many people want to use God for their own self-actualization, but that is a reversal of nature and is doomed to failure.

Being successful and fulfilling your life’s purpose are not at all the same issue. You were made by God and for God – and until you understand that, life will never make sense. You could reach all your personal goals, becoming a raving success by the world’s standard and still miss the purpose God created you. You need more than self-help advice.

HOW THEN DO YOU DISCOVER THE PURPOSE YOU WERE CREATED FOR? IS IT BY SPECULATION OR BY REVELATION?

Speculation is what most people choose, they guess, they conjecture, they theorize. Very fortunately, an alternative to speculation about the meaning and purpose to life is REVELATION.

We can turn to what God has revealed about life in his word. The easiest way to discover the purpose of an in vention is to ask the creator of it. The same is true for discovering your life’s purpose. Ask God.

God is not just the starting point of your life; he is the source of it. To discover your purpose in life, you must turn to God’s word, not the world’s wisdom. You must build your life on eternal truths, not pop psychology, success-motivation or inspirational stories.

In conclusion, Ephesians 1: 11 gives us three insights into your purpose;

1)    You discover your identity and purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ

2)   God was thinking of you long before you ever thought about him. His purpose of your life predates your conception. He planned it before you existed “without you input”. You may choose your career, your spouse, your hobbies and many other parts of your life, but you don’t get to choose your purpose.

3)   The purpose of you life fits into a much larger, cosmic purpose that God has designed for eternity.

Friend, Rick Warren has said it all. This is a very great message to mankind in this time. Let God decide for you anything you want from him – job, career, spouse and others. He has reasons for anything he chooses for you. If you have not submitted to the lordship of Jesus, why don’t you do that now; it is only in Christ Jesus that your life can have a meaning. Just confess your sins and proclaim that Jesus is your saviour.

The importance of this message for us as Christians is to know who we are in Christ Jesus and consciously declare faith-filled words to ourselves everyday and all the time. We should also learn to speak things of the spirit.

Don’t play with what you are about reading right now as it is infused with the holy ghost. You will begin to experience positive changes in your life (health, finance, etc) by the power of the holy ghost. Healing is sure if you believe. The day I listened to this message, I felt the presence of god in my life strongly than ever before. There has been a turn around in my life since that day (18^th September, 2010).

If you are yet to confess Jesus as your lord and saviour, you had better done that now so that you will not be reading the message as a mere literature. Confess with your mouth now that Jesus is lord; believe in your heart now that God raised Jesus from the dead to redeem you.

• Declare that God lives in me. God lives in every fibre of my being
• Jesus Christ said in Matthew 28:20 “lo I am with you always….” It is not a promise, it is a statement of fact
• Instead of waking up in the morning and thinking of  the day’s trouble, you should declare the word of God over your life. The words are not words of one who is boaster, but words of one who has received the word of God
• Declare that God gave Jesus up for me means that I am important to God. Therefore I should square up, walk upright and be bold. You are a “somebody” and not a “nobody”. Change your style.
• God by reason of sending Jesus to die for us, gave us another life that is superior to any problem of the world.
• Proclaim who you are and diseases will dematerialize. Christianity is a life in Christ. Christ in you the hope of glory (Colossians1:27).

 ENJOY A LIFE WITH THE HOLY GHOST 24 HOURS A DAY

We are partakers of the divine nature ….. Do you know what that means? It is impossible for you to die of poison. Why? Mark 16:17-18 says “ These signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongue; they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover……….Glory to God. Do you know that the natural man lives by blood?

·        The impact of the divine life in your physical body brings about divine health. The action of the holy ghost in your body ensures divine health

-Hunt for knowledge. The bible says “by knowledge the just shall be delivered. Knowledge of God is key to preparation and all battles are won on the table of preparation. Look for somebody whose life will influence your life.

Vision is not born until you discover it. Burden deposited by God in your heart makes God to identify you. Burden precedes vision. The burden of your heart is a clue of your assignment with God.

WHAT PREPARATION DELIVERS

• Divine opportunity
• Speed of accomplishment
• Preparation is a cutting edge among your peers. It connects you to people who have gone ahead of you
• Preparation inspires your appetite for success. It is the season your future is offered
• Preparation reduces the level of mistakes in the journey of life and secures what God has prepared for you.

 After preparation, the next thing is the paying of the price of your journey to success. The next thing is mentorship-that is looking for somebody who has gotten what you are looking for. The influence of Samuel protected David. The grace of your mentor is your divine security to success. Therefore, never you disconnect from your mentor. Scriptures- Numbers 18/Deutoronomy 34.

Divine direction is key to your calling, locate God’s direction for your location to be secured. Opportunity is disguised in crises; every time there is crises, there is an opportunity.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THIS TOPIC “FIRST THINGS FIRST”  IS IN MATTHEW 6:33 – SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD. GOD IS AT THE END BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF ANYTHING. THIS IS THE FIRST THING. WHEN YOU DO THE FIRST THING LAST AND YOU EXPECT THE LAST THING FIRST, THEN YOU WILL REMAIN THE LAST.

Preparation is key to success. Opportunity is not a product of smartness. Preparation is the key to identifying opportunities when they come.

Catching the moment of opportunities is the best time in life. Your preparationdetermines the choice of God for your life. Until you put right things first, you won’t be right with God.


Preparation determines your placement in destiny. Promotion is a product of preparation. Preparation is a testing time and until you are tested, you can not triumph. You prove your faith in God by preparation; even your love for God.
